Summer  Activities

In France, La Clusaz is well known as a summer activity resort, and it has almost every activity you care to mention, from archery to white water rafting. In all there are around forty things to do, in the village, or nearby.

Water sports are catered for on Lake Annecy, just 30 mins away by car. Here you can swim, sail, dive, or even wake board, just to mention a few. There are a number of beaches dotted along the 40 km shore line.

Mountain bike fans will love La Clusaz. World cup races have been held here, and there are numerous trails winding through the mountains. Five lifts which can carry bikes up the hills are open from the end of June to the beginning of September.

Most of the activities in La Clusaz and the nearby villages of Le Grand Bornand and St. Jean de Sixt can be paid for using the Aravis Loisir Pass. These cost 50, 100 or 200 euros, plus a small returnable deposit. These act as a debit card and give up to 30% discount on activities. Any remaining credits are refunded at the end of your holiday.
